Cafe Marco Polo Plaza Cebu ,A prestigious hotel here in Cebu is one of the favorite food stops by many known personalities. The Cafe Marco ,located in the ground floor of the Hotel. It is one of the biggest food variety I have seen here. From the outside it doesn’t look like that big but when you will be inside, you will be welcomed with the display of their buffet, and not just an ordinary buffet but a very big one with almost countless food choices. You will already be satisfied by just looking around. 🙂
We were introduced by one of their Filipino dishes, the Pancit Molo, this is a special soup that is served by their special guest , it is made of backmeat of chicken bones from neck that is shredded , also includes shredded pieces of ham. It is a popular soup by the foreigners and they
really like the taste of it.
They also have the Cebuano adobo (Pork and Chicken), which is also one of their favorites.
Next is the Inun-unan (Inon-onan) or Isdang Paksiw which is a popular comfort food for the Cebuanos and the Bisaya as well. You can event taste the exact sourness and tastiness of the dish.
Then there is the Congrit rice which also called mais in Cebu. It is cooked with the residue oil recycled from the Adobo which brings in the adobo flavor. It is amazing to know that only few people knew about the congrit rice and was intrigued by its source and the difference between the usual rice.
I also got the chance to taste their dessert buffet which is one of the biggest I have seen so far with a lot of choices , you will almost feel drowsy with it :D.
It was one of the most scrumptious meal I ever had. The food is really great and is really made for the satisfaction of the customers.
We also got the chance to meet the Chef/sous Chef behind the dishes served and learned a lot
about it.
