Pandan aka screwpine leaves are widely used in cooking and baking in Asian countries. I have many recipes using Pandan leaves in cooking and baking cakes, bread, kuih, steamed bun and other desserts. To extract the Pandan juice, it’s important to have a good blender or unless you have the patience you can use mortar and pestle to slowly pound the leaves and extract the juice, that’s how my parents used to do. 😀
Recently I’ve got my new blender ~ Ninja Intellisense system with unique Auto-iQ technology designed to make life easier, simply press one button and let Auto-iQ do the work for you.
I was fascinated when I tried using this blender to make Pandan juice. Unlike my old blender, this Ninja blender is very powerful. As described in the manual, all I need to do is just ONE-PUSH and the blender do the work, it’s done in 1 minute 10 seconds and there’s hardly any Pandan leaves can be seen in the jar, the leaves were finely blended.
Of course, besides extracting Pandan juice, it can be used to crush ice to make smoothie, shakes, ice cream and all kind of drinks. The set also comes with a dough blade to make dough, processor for puree, process/ chop veggies and meat for making salad, patties, nuggets etc.
